THE SUN

The Sun is the first magazine that ever bought a piece of my writing (for $10.00, in 1977), and it’s the magazine I’ve published in the most, including my first efforts as a book reviewer. That first piece was published in the first Sun Anthology.

Two other pieces were published in subsequent anthologies.

TRICYCLE: THE BUDDHIST REVIEW

My first article for Tricycle was an Ancestors piece about Alan Watts.

I subsequently wrote a number of Ancestors pieces for them, often at their suggestion. I never knew who they might come up with.

They also published a piece about stage fright that was included in the Best Buddhist Writing anthology for that year.
